Good morning to all from Monore, Louisiana. Waine is also on travel so please pray for our traveling mercies. God is a good God all the time and His mercies are boundless so I am praising Him this morning and learning not to sweat the small stuff. I hops this message finds your well and in the arms of the God that loves you more than you can imagine.
I am continuing my journey in Matthews 21, verses 11-22, "Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. "It is written," He said to them, " 'My house will be called a house of prayer, but you are making It a den of robbers. The blind and the lame came to Him at the temple, and He healed them. But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things He did and the children shouting in the temple area, "Hosanna to the Son of David," they were indignant. Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked Him. Yes," replied Jesus, "have you never read, 'From the lips of children and infants You have ordained praise'?" And He left them and went out of the city to Bethany, where He spent the night. Early in the morning, as He was on His way back to the city, He was hungry. Seeing a fig tree by the road, He went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then He said to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" Immediately the tree withered. When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. "How did the fig tree wither so quickly?" they asked. Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Amen and amen!
IF YOU BELIEVE YOU WILL RECEIVE WHATEVER YOU ASK FOR IN PRAYER!
Jesus was all about faith! He knew the scriptures and lived a life through faith that would fulfill the scriptures and the law of Moses and the prophets. Jesus recognized that the House of Worship had been reduced to the worship of money and was grieved. He drove out those that were using the process of worship to line their pockets with gold. Sound familiar. What would Jesus do with all the profit oriented ministries so prevalent today? The House of God should be devoted to prayer, worship and healing. If you find yourself in a House worshipping anything else, reflect on these verses and Isaiah 56:7.
Jesus was also teaching His disciples to exercise their faith in every aspect of their lives, giving them power and dominion to move the very obstacles that prevented them from committing themselves to worship in the Spirit of the Almighty. When I reflected on these scriptures this morning, I reflected on the "mountains" I faced yesterday. One particular mountain was challenging me for most of the day, frustrating me and making me want to act in a manner that would not show the world the Love of God. I finally let it go and gave it to God to solve; I stopped what I was doing and prayed for that mountain to be moved. Two things happened immediately-1) I "felt" at peace and 2) had the confidence that the mountain had been moved. It freed me to move on and enjoy the rest of my day. I was no longer bound in fear and frustration. I left that mountain on the Rock of Jesus.
Whatever mountain you are struggling with in faith, pray with Jesus for that mountain to be removed and cast into the sea and it will be done! Have a wonderful and earth shattering day!
Stephanie
