Sunday Always Comes!

Good morning to all on this beautiful Friday morning. I awoke to Joyce Meyers this morning so I have been having a Praise Fest for the past 2 hours. There were certainly more things I could have been doing that seemed more practical but/and I couldn't think of anything I'd rather be doing than praising God for His infinite mercies and His healing spirit. Continue to pray for ET and his family and continue to pray for his healing.

I am continuing my journey in Matthew 28 verses 1-10 "After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay. Then go quickly and tell His disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him.' Now I have told you." So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell His disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," He said. They came to Him, clasped His feet and worshiped Him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see Me." Hallelujah and amen!

Wow, wow, and wow!The Power of God and the timing of God is what struck me about these verses. God sent His angel to open the tomb of His Son because death no longer had dominion over Jesus. He had conquered the grave and died that we might live, then as now. The angel stayed at the tomb and sat on the rock that had sealed the grave. He was not in a hurry. He was not shocked by the soldiers, however the representatives of Rome who were there to guard the grave were "afraid until death"; what the passage didn't say was that they even saw Jesus leave and its because they continued to see with their "worldly eyes". Some of us are in "graves" of fear, worries, illness, lack of finances, broken relationships, errant children, under appreciation --and I could go on and on. Well if you know Christ then you need to leave those fears in the grave that Jesus has conquered. Go on to your Galilee where Jesus is waiting for you today. Do it now. Run don't walk for He is risen and is no longer among the dead.  God loves you and wants you to cast your cares on Him so that you will be free to live the life abundant that He has planned for you.

Have a blessed day.

Stephanie
